Among the Presidential nominees that where before the Committee for interview were Dr. Christian Thorpe Deputy propose  Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Sylvia Blyden Minister Social Welfare Gender and Children’s Affairs, Monfred M Sesay Judge of Appeal Court, Mohamed Bangura propose  Minister of Information and Communication, Bai Mamoud Bangura Minister propose Minister of Youth Affairs, Nanentte Thomas propose Minister of Political and Public Affairs and Ahmed Khanou propose Minister of Sports and Sidi Yayah Tunis propose Minister of Tourism and Culture.

Some of the questions asked where base on personal life of the individual, educational background, financial and public records.

Captain Rtd AbdulRahman Kamara propose Deputy Defense Minister Defense told the Committee that he never campaign to any MPs to approve him and also disclosed his assets before the Committee which includes bank account and unfinished house.

He further stated with the wealth of experience as a cadet soldier that rose through ranks he would do everything possible to add values to the work of the Ministry but however, it was discovered during the interview session that Captain Rtd AbdulRahman Kamara purported to have a master Degree in International Relations from the University of London which he has never paid for and was asked to go back home and settle it.

 Dr. Christian Thorpe Propose Deputy Minister of Education the Committee was satisfied with all documents she presented before the stating that “it is good to be back home to a house that needs repair, since there is no doubt that the current educational system has problem and need improvement.

She also lamented on the high number of girls that not going to school which promise to look into if approve as according to her girls must be encourage to go to school in order to become better citizen in society while  On her famous comment, “Go police’ she insinuated that it was taken out of context but maintained that the 2012 Election Act provide avenues for  such statement and described the current educational system in the country as a ‘disgraceful as most students from the University cannot even read or write simple English.

Dr. Sylvia Blyden propose Minister of Social Welfare Gender and Children Affairs in her document states that she have over hundreds of children adopted from the street  but could not present any legal document for the adoptees.

on the issue why she choose to practice Journalism instead of medicines Dr. Blyden said she decided to practice journalism  to advocate for the voiceless stating that “it takes a lots of hard work, patriotism, prayer to reach to her new position   

Members of Committee were please with Mohamed Bangura since he did not violate any part in the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone despite several petitions made against him by Mohamed K. Mansaray and his supporters of the Alliance Democratic Party (ADP).

during the interview Mohamed Bangura described himself as a professional journalist with a wealth of experience stating that the presence of many people is a clear justification of his credibility towards his success but was later discovered that the citation on his certificate has grammatical errors which he promise to rectify before the next sitting  and  assured the Committee of better internet service.

Bai Mamoud proposes Minister of Youth Affairs was asked by Committee how he will balance his political interest to nation building especially on youth issue but to the balance the two.

 

It is however clear that from what happen during the interview it was observed that the nominees without doubt would be approved when they appear before the well of Parliament.
