Alpha went on that to show that they were very much serious in making sure that Port Loko plays a great role for the SLPP to win the March 2018 polls, they have formed a group called Friends of Azick Mustapha Conteh for Maada Bio. He said some of the major reasons for their defection are that a good number of them are disappointed with their former party for selecting an unpopular candidate as the next Presidential Candidate.

They further expressed dismay that Dr. Samura Kamara was single handedly handpicked by President Koroma against the wishes of other APC members and supporters.

They recalled that President Koroma once told them at the Bai Bureh Hall in Port Loko that the next presidential candidate of the APC will come from Pork Loko and now he has done otherwise, making them the Port Loko indigenes shamed and hopeless.

Alpha Bedor went on that all the promises earlier on make by President Koroma on the deliverables of pipe borne water supply, good roads and electricity among other human need have not been adhered to.

“Port Loko is no longer APC stronghold. We will do all we can to ensure that the SLPP creates the best of impact in Port Loko district come March 2018”. Alpha promised.
