He explained six countries including the host, Ivory Coast will compete in what he said is going to be a competitive tournament. The team from Sierra Leone is expected to battle it out with likes from the host Ivory Coast, Mali, Burkina Faso and Liberia.
Meanwhile, it is not yet confirmed whether Liberia will participate given the recent resurfacing of the Ebola virus disease in the country.
Frank also explained that each country is expected to take a-16 man delegation including 15 children, 10 boys and 5 girls to be accompanied by the Technical Director of each Olympafrica project.
According to Frank Turay, five of the boys and 3 of the girls should be in the age ranges between 12 to 13 years, while the remaining 5 boys and 2 girls should be between 14 and 15 years old.
He said the parents of the children would have to give their consent and approval for the children’s travel and participation in the tournament since they are under age.
He also stated that they are presently undergoing intensive training to put the team in good shape ahead of the tournament.
