She recalled that prior to the outbreak of Ebola in the country, her parents would before the reopening of school use Airtel Money to send money for her school expenses such as fees, books, uniforms, shoes, lessons, text books, lunch and other school charges.

As for the school fees, she said they would normally send it at the beginning of the term while for other school related activities she receives money at the end of every month. She said she easily cash in at the nearest agent shop before going to school to make the necessary payments.

She added that she would then hand over the receipts to her aunt with whom she currently stays for safe keeping, who in turn would let her parents know that she has paid all the related school charges.

The school pupil noted that with the outbreak of Ebola and the closure of schools, she at the moment does not receive money from her parents for school related activities but rather gets monthly stipend for her up-keep as a way of complementing the efforts of her aunt.

“What I normally do now after receiving my monthly stipend from my parents is buy few text books to study for my new class, buy few clothes and the balance left in my phone to top-up myself to make calls, browse the internet and chat with friends on facebook and whatsap,” she explained.

Apart from the benefit of receiving financial support from her parents through Airtel Money, Fatmata, she said she is also enjoying the latest Airtel “Bomba Moni” service, which according to her, has been offering her 50% tariff reduction anytime she uses the service for transaction for on-net calls for up to a week.

She thanked Airtel for keeping to its promise of making itself the most loved brand in the lives of its subscribers especially to school pupils who are making good use of a reduced tariff for on-net calls for a week.

She furthered that anytime she uses Airtel Money for financial transactions for as less as Le 1,000, she immediately gets a 50% tariff reduction for all on-net calls for 7 days.

Apart from the 50% tariff, she said she always enjoys 100% bonus for on-net calls anytime she uses Airtel Money to top-up her phone, a thing she hopes Airtel will continue doing as long as they are here.

The school pupil concluded that she and her colleagues are now using whattaspp group and that also uses the service to buy mega-bite (data) to chat with her friends and share fun.
