However, some youth have been able to weather the storm by moving abroad and making positive change  by giving back to society what they have achieved in years.

One such person is Steven Murray Jr. a young Sierra Leonean who has opened  the kotintri lounge at the Lumley community. The kotintri lounge according  to him is a dream come true as he had always  thought of giving back to his society when he is in the position to do so.

He  called on young people to be positive minded and ensure they work hard in achieving their dreams which according to him will help change not only their lives  but the society they find themselves.

Hon Shekuba  ‘Armani’ Sannoh is the Member of parliament for   constituency 112 which covers the Lumley community. He commended the proprietor and team for the initiative citing that as a community, they will no longer go and  to other constituencies  leaving what they consider to be theirs.

Cultural and traditional performances  and prayers ,climaxed the  opening ceremony of the  kotintri lounge which can be used for seminars, community meetings, symposiums among  others.
