He said with improved facilities and security in the tourism sector, more tourists will storm the country and more income would be generated for the government.

He outlined the gains the industry stand to benefit from the beaches after modalities would have been put in place to enhance security and improve on the facilities therein.

According to him, solar lights and CCTV cameras have been installed along the Lumley beach with plans underway by Masada workers to keep the beaches completely clean and tidy and free from seaweeds.

In the area of employment, they plan to employ at least 150 Traffic/Beach wardens and life guards to ensure safe and secure environment along the beaches.

The NTB General Manager expressed optimism, regardless the setbacks of the Ebola scourge in the country and sub region, commencing 1st quarter of this year that they will have regional offices to help local tourism sites to market local and international tourism.
