According to the charged sheet, both accused persons conspired with unknown individuals to fleece a certain Adama Bangura , the sum of six million leones, including eleven million , four hundred thousand leones from another complainant , on the pretext of securing them visas  to travel abroad, knowing to be false.

Both accused were charged with the offences of conspiracy to commit felony, and larceny contrary to the larceny act of 1916, and they allegedly committed the said offences, between the periods of 1 April 2016 to 30 October 2016.

Before denying the accused person’s bail, the presiding magistrate pointed out the accused had the opportunity to secure unsuspected people with foreign visas to travel abroad, but that he wondered whether any one of them ever had the opportunity to travel abroad.

My court , he said  would not tolerate or condone  such people who were hell bent on swindling the hard earned cash from inspected visa seekers , noting that  such criminal behaviors should be discouraged in society  ,by sending  the accused to the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba road in Freetown.

The matter was prosecuted by police Inspector Hawa Bah, and Magistrate Dr.  Abubakar Binneh Kamara adjourned the matter to 19 April 2017.
