However Sierra Leone on the other hand has been struggling in terms of grooming local entrepreneurs and some of the beneficiaries spoke about the importance of the session. They maintained that as far as they are concerned, the lecture is important because it has whet their appetite to learn more in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation in order to make them more efficient and confident when they would have graduated.

Speaking to AYV, the former Dean of Faculty of management Science at IPAM, Dr. Jesse Porter encouraged students to concentrate on their studies for them to become prosperous entrepreneurs in the country. He made this statement during a public lecture by two members of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology based in the United States of America. 

Also speaking to AYV, the PhD candidate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Caroline Viola Fry said the survey is a way of gathering systematic data from the students on the barriers and challenges they face in order for them to realize their entrepreneurial and innovational ambitions. She added that the purpose of their visit to Sierra Leone is to encourage Sierra Leonean students to concentrate on becoming good entrepreneurs.
