Speaking on the first 100 days of their administration, the Hon. Vice President disclosed that they have achieved a lot and that they are now establishing the basis of moving the country forward. He went on to state that, in the first 27 days after they have assumed office, they paid salaries of workers without borrowing from the Bank adding that within 48 hours in governance, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio put in place several directives and that those directives have been useful and have attracted the International Community who has pledged their support in aiding the President to deliver and achieve his development trends.

Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh stated that some of the key promises made during their campaign in the area of Free Education will commence this academic year, 20118.

In the areas of safe and quality drinking water, sustainable electricity, infrastructure etc are unshakable and that by Allah’s grace, nothing will stop His Excellency Julius Maada Bio from achieving them.

He stated that as a government, they have a vision of moving the country forward and that in that vision, they have a commitment and the energy as young, dynamic and hardworking leaders in developing the country.

Addressing the Paramount Chiefs, V.P Jalloh reaffirmed His Excellency commitment in working with them to bring social peace in the country.

V.P Jalloh guaranteed the people of Pujehun district and all Sierra Leoneans that within 5 years period, they will be proud of the government of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio as they will be enjoying, Free Education, Good and Quality Health facilities, good roads, electricity, adequate and safe water supply etc.

In his opening statement as Chairman of the ceremony, the Resident Minister, South, Mr. Mohamed Alie informed the Hon. Vice President about the termination of Regent Chiefs and the necessary recommendations they have written and sent down to Freetown for the President’s attention.

He said the decision of terminating the Regent Chiefs was done with no sentiment but to create a level playing field for all.

He went on to notify the Hon. Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh about the issue of thieving at the Socfin Agricultural Company’s Farm in Sahn Malen which according to him is a threat to survival of the company; adding that the people of Malen too are aggrieved with company but they are working out robustly to amicably settle the differences.

In the area of security, the Resident Minister said the Region is safe and that the new AIG is working hard to ensure that peace and tranquility prevail in the region.

The Chairman of the Council of Paramount Chiefs, PC/JP Samuel A.S. Gbonda II encouraged the new government to work within the framework of developing the nation as stated in their manifesto.

The Independent Member of Parliament in Pujehun district, Hon. Shaka Sama called on the to President through the Vice President to give prominence to women in governance positions, and to transform the terrible road networks in the country to modern ones.

He noted that the Government hospital in Pujehun  is running out of medicines and food; this he said needs urgent attention.

The District Council Chairman, Mr. Sheik Suaibu Siddy Sowa in his remarks updated the Hon. Vice President on the high level of cooperation the Council is receiving from the Paramount Chiefs in the district and also from the people in the district.

The SLPP Chairman Pujehun District called on all Sierra Leoneans to support the First and Second gentlemen of the nation in their drive to develop the country and the people.

The vice president was accompanied by the Minister of State, Office of the Vice President, Francess Paigie Alghali and his visit was climaxed with a conducted tour of the Pujehun Government Hospital.
