Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala was giving an update on ACC activities to this press.
According to Mr. Kaifala his predecessor had handed over a sealed indictment to the Chief Justice before leaving office, adding that when he took office he met with the Chief Justice to look at the sealed indictment.
Kaifala disclosed that he unsealed the document for everybody to know the identities of the individuals accused of corruption following which a date was discussed for trial to commence and they arrived at 30th July, 2018.
“When we unsealed the indictment, the names listed are the former vice-president and two others,” he said and went on to disclose that in various ways the investigation was not done the right way but that these things will reviewed before the date set for trial.
