Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Melqosh Mission International, Faith Okrafo-Smart said the support is aimed at empowering the children whose parents were badly affected by the 11 year civil war. She therefore assured the beneficiaries of her organization’s continued support unto tertiary level of education.

She disclosed that her foundation would continue to support the children of war amputees with educational material, adding that the support will cover other districts that do have amputee camps.

Faith Okrafo-smart stated that it education that the children needed to make a turn around to their stories and useful in society, she committed herself to continue it project on educating the children.

A beneficiary that was sponsored to a university John Koroma said the Melqosh Mission International has been a blessing to him and his sublimes for over eight years since they started supports him.

“This is like a dream come through for me, because over the years I have been supporting Melqosh Mission International to identify and support war amputees’ children. I have been devoting my time to work with Melqosh to support my colleagues, but today is one of my happiest moment as Melqosh have just paid my fee to do professional course at the Makeni University. I have been thinking who will do this for me, but Melqosh have come to my aide.” John Koroma added.

He further applauded Melqosh and its donor partners for transforming lives stating that if it was not for the organization he would not have achieved all what him and his family has attained in life.

The National Secretary General of the Amputee Association and the Liaison Officer for Melqosh Mission International Pastor Finnoh said never in their history have they receive such a huge support from anyone, he called on donor partners to come on board to support the organisation through the venture in supporting amputees.

 Commenting on the support, the parents of the beneficiaries applauded the organization for the tremendous support it has rendered to them over the years. They disclosed that that since they were amputated by the rebels the past and the present government have not been able to support their children in terms of education.

The children were very excited and promise to make the most of what have been provided for them.
