However, the FA is yet to announce whether the former Rwanda boss still remains in charge of Leone Stars on another short term or on a permanent deal.

His record includes three trips, one draw, a defeat, and one win in the 2017 African Nations Cup qualifiers and 2018 World Cup preliminary respectively.

“They are ongoing negotiation, so I can’t tell the outcome until negotiations have been completed, because Tetteh contract will end by November 25 this year” Abubakarr Kamara head of SLFA’s media said.

Tetteh guided Sierra Leone to a 2-1 victory against Chad in the World Cup preliminary, but Leone Stars were eliminated having lost the first leg 1-0 in Chad.

FC Johansen coach John Keister is the favourite to take over if the former Rwanda coach is to part ways with Sierra Leone.

It could be recalled that the (SLFA) has previously named a six-man shortlist for the vacant Leone Stars coaching position from 63 applicants according to the FA.

The coaches shortlisted were John Keister the national Under 23 coach, German Herzog Carsten, Drago Mamic, Belgian Luc Eymael, Dutch Tahseen Jabbary and Serbian Zavisa Milosavljevic.

However, after Tetteh’s appointment in August this year, the FA decided to hold on any permanent appointment.

The football body statement reads: “The Executive Committee has decided to put on hold the final selection of a permanent coach until further notice due to delays in logistical procedures”.
