The charge sheet further disclosed that accused, Victor Smith collected this exorbitant amount from the complainant; Fatmata Morie Lengoh for the purpose of not only securing her some vast portion of land situated at Hill Station, but also to prepare conveyance on her behalf.  The offences preferred against him ranged from Receiving Money On False Pretences to causing money to be paid to person with intent to defraud.

Having squeezed the Complainant; Fatmata Morie Lengoh with such whopping amount on diverse dates between 2001 and 2016, the accused, Victor Smith is reported to have gone into hiding, but he was later on nabbed by the police at his secluded hideout in some part of Freetown and charged to court for committing the aforementioned offences.

 The accused was refused bail and was ordered to be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba road in Freetown.

In another development, a resident of Ecowas Street, Sallieu Kamara has also been remanded at the Male Correctional Centre by Magistrate Abubakar Binneh Kamara for allegedly converting the sum of five million leones entrusted to him for the purpose of safe keeping, but converted the said amount  into his personal use and benefit contrary to law.

He was refused bail by Magistrate Abubakar Bineh Kamara and remanded at the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba road in Freetown.

 The matter was adjourned to Tuesday, 13 September 2016.
