Twenty five year-old Mohamed Allieu Barrie is said to have committed the said offence at his Ataya base shop located at the Funkia Market.

In her statement to the police, the victim stated that her mother sent to her to buy rice at the Funkia Market, and that on her arrival, she visited the accused person at his  business place, who called her into his shop and instructed her to remove her dress and pant.

She further told police that the accused person Mohamed Allieu Barrie had sex with her four times, and she even spent the night with him because she was afraid to return home

The following morning, the victim said she went home but had to run back to the accused business place because her mother wanted to beat her.

She narrated that she was together with the accused person at his business place at Funkia Market, when her mother came with police officers attached to the Adonkia Police Station and arrested the accused person.

The victim also stated that she was invited to the Adonkia Police Station where a police medical request form was issued to her for examination and treatment at the Rainbow Centre at the Princess Christian Maternity Hospital in Freetown. Hearing continues.
