Well, according to historians, today’s conference should be named Bintumani Four and not Bintumani Three, as according to them, Bintumani Three was held by the Ahmed Tejan Kabbah led SLPP government with Hon. Kadie Sesay as Consultant.

They say the Bintumani Three was a “National Consultative Conference on the Peace Process in Sierra Leone”.

However, for Bintumani Three starting today, citizens again demanded, after the fifth democratic general elections and peaceful transfer of power from one civilian government to the other, for certain reform measures, in order to strengthen our democratic governance arrangement systems: transparency and accountability, rule of law, property rights, constitutional reform, electoral system, women’s right and youth empowerment that can suit the current demands of society.

Bintumani Three will enable the country and people to evolve through the required stages and processes of a democratic and good governance pathways.
