While in Canada, the Tourism Minister gathered that one of the best ways to attract tourists is through constant destination marketing using the B2B strategy. She says she will now use upon her arrival a tool kit known as “Tourism Governance” (TG) with smart tourism to push-out engagement as is done in Canada. 

The Tourism Minister’s engagement closed with tight and firm deals, of stronger exchanges and coherently set preparations and plans that would ensure the development of Sierra Leone’s tourist potential.

A top Canadian government official Mr. Yves Marceau who received Tourism Minister and her delegation, briefed the delegation on Canada’s touristic their operations over the years.

Yves explained that through these engagements Canada has been able to explore adventure travel tp make it more than a vacation.

He explained to Minister Memunatu Pratt that “it creates a chance to get to know your world better by putting yourself on a first-name basis with the people, places, and things that make it worth exploring.” He added that in Canada the group responsible for this is small made up of adventure travel experts and has been in existence for over 20 years.

He added that Sierra Leone too can create its own designs to attract its tourist adventurers by listening to travelers and giving them what they want. He added that Sierra Leone has great potential for future exchanges in travel and tourist adventure tour business.

He maintained that Canada is ready to provide experts to assist Sierra Leone’s Tourism Industry towards developing especially Eco-tourism, tourist site development and management among other interventions to boost the tourist industry.
