According to CPO, it could be recalled that the meeting occurred at State House earlier this week with a cross section of Artistes and some ‘unidentified faces’ to discuss the position of uplifting the Entertainment sector.

This move he went on, is no way representing the views of the DJs fraternity, adding: “We totally frown, condemn and isolate ourselves as disc jockeys from every nook and cranny”.

However, Pilot CPO hastened to inform the world that the Union’s membership is in no way condemning the said meeting with the President of the Republic of Sierra Leone; but the clause “Entertainment Industry”, which according to his understanding, means the consent of the DJs, which he said was in either way sought.

The DJs president concluded saying: “We stand by the government towards national development, but our isolation and expulsion from government related activities means, promotion of the “Local Content Policy” is at stake; more so the Entertainment sector.

We are DJs and should be equally involved in national development. Our voices should be heard nationally”.
