The fire which broke out at around the hours of 2:00am on Sunday 19 March 2017, at the Juba Hill, left hundreds of people homeless and properties worth millions of leones were destroyed.
“we are not happy that you have lost you properties and becomes homeless at the moment, that is why I have decided to support you all in my own little way, my heart is with you, as I want you all to get back to normalcy, although it is not much, but for the moment I am here with two bags of rice, ten dozen of sticks, a trip of sand, thirty-one bags of cement, shoes and clothes.” Said Ibrahim Tawa Conteh.
Ibrahim Tawa Conteh stated that the donation was a temporal approach to help resuscitate the victims. He assured the people of more donations, especially for school going pupils. He reiterated that the incidence was not the doing of any one and encouraged the people to be steadfast in going through the test of time.
