The Sierra Leone Police in Lunsar have discovered and seized a large farm of Cannabis (Jamba) in Mange Akan community.
The operation was led by Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), Fayiah David Joshua, who coordinated a team consisting of police personnel and members of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) to locate and dismantle the cannabis sativa farm.
Upon their arrival, the team uncovered a significant cannabis sativa farm, featuring both mature plants and those in the nursery stage.
In collaboration with community stakeholders, law enforcement officers arrested two suspects, Abdul Bangura, commonly known as “Kambia,” and Yusuf Fornah, who are believed to be responsible for the cultivation of the illicit drug.
Both suspects and the seized cannabis plants are currently in police custody for further investigation.
