Sierra Leone’s East End Lions FC have secured a valuable draw away from home after Saymah Kamara’s second-half goal helped the Lions hold Côte d’Ivoire’s AF Amadou Diallo to a stalemate in Abidjan in the CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary Round.

The match was a hard-fought contest, with both sides battling for an advantage in the opening leg. The Lions, however, showed resilience to keep themselves firmly in contention ahead of the decisive return fixture.

Kamara’s second-half strike proved crucial, giving East End Lions the boost they needed and ensuring the tie remains finely balanced heading into the second leg.

With neither side able to claim a first-leg victory, everything will now be decided in the return encounter at the SKD Complex in Liberia.

The Lions will be looking to make home advantage count and secure progression to the next stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
