SLIEPA’s Director of Export Development Shiaka Kawa said the two institutions had a very long standing good working relationship while he added that his organization was always ready and willing to work with the Produce Marketing Board at all times.

Acting Executive Secretary – Produce Marketing Board, Madam Haja Kabba told all that she was very much happy for such a timely and relevant meet. She went on to say that her organization was always willing to work with SLIEPA in promoting export, investment, and export in the country. She furthered that her organization was already completing plans for a Trade Fair for farmers and producers in the Cocoa industry. She said the Trade Fair would be held in Bo in November this year and that the potential sponsors were SLIEPA and Sierra Leone Standards Bureau.

Chief Executive Officer of SLIEPA Dylan Sogie-Thomas, applauded the two institutions for such a laudable and remarkable venture while he added that he believed that the good relationship between the two institutions would continue to create an enabling environment for investors to operate in the country. He went on to say he had a vision of an expanded working group of Agencies and Departments within the Ministry of Trade and Industry collaborating to provide the required information and support to existing and potential Investors and Exporters.
