“Fighting corruption is not a single entity’s job but involves collective work,” Sao-Lamin said, adding that their colleagues across the country are working on daily basis to ensure that they fight corruption in Sierra Leone.

According to Sao-Lamin they will be focusing on monitoring the activities of nine key government ministries for good and timely service and cited the Ministry of Education among others that are of priority.

Responding the Commissioner of ACC Francis Ben Keifala commended the consortium for the MOU, stating that the war against corruption has been declared by the President.

According to Mr. Keilfala they are soldiers in the fight against corruption but they need allies with institutions and people who are strong enough to be back-ups when there is need.

“In the fight against corruption, there can be no better allies than the civil society,” Keilfala said, adding that they are happy that civil society organizations are showing interest in tackling corruption in the country.
