The support given to the Family support Unit of the Sierra Leone Police as explained by the Actionaid’s Executive Director, Mohamed Sillah, is to constructively support the Unit in its daily operations especially on the issue of Data Storage adding that the aid happened as a result of them (ActionAid) honoring the humble request of the FSU after a consultative engagement on some of their paramount challenges.

Receiving the equipment and stationery items, including cartoons of A3 and A4 papers, several power sockets, dell computers among others, on behalf of the Family Support Unit  the head of the FSU, Chief Superintendent Aisha Bangura thanked ActionAid Sierra Leone for their support towards the Unit which she said  faced with numerous challenges, especially with key items to run their office effectively.

She further explained that both the FSU and ActionAid  are working to promotes and protects the best interest of women and girls across Sierra Leone “We are working in the same direction to achieve common goals” she added.

In order to utilize the donated items for it right purposes Chief Superintendent Aisha Bangura promised that all the aforesaid items will be used judiciously to adequately serve the purposes for which they are meant. With such support, it is expected that the family Support Unit of the Sierra Leone Police, will improve immensely in the area of data storage.
