The letter further stated that the sports ministry and the sports council had warned Sesay against posing as and representing the president of SLAA but he had refused and was recently in South Africa representing the association.
“On this note we ask that Abdul Karim Sesay be invited by the CID for questioning in collaboration with officials from ministry of sports and national sports council in relation to the just concluded trip to South Africa”, the letter stated.
Sesay was invited by the International Association of Athletics Federation to ensure he was informed on progress and would have the opportunity to ask questions about proposals for voting on special congress, why they were important, how they evolved, how they fit with IAAF’s vision and objectives and most critically what the reform proposals meant for him and the member federation.
