Both men have previously served their individual countries as heads of government at various times. Whilst Bio at the tender age of 32 championed the first ever face to face peace process with the brutal Revolutionary United Front (RUF) rebels led by the recalcitrant Corporal Foday Sankoh and also presided over the first ever peaceful multi party elections that had eluded the country for over 27 years, Bio shielded aside all temptations to cling on to power as it were in various West African Countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia and many more.

On the part of Sellu Dellen Diallo, he served as a Prime Minister under the then President and Army General Lansana Conteh that transformed his rule from Military to Civilian and stayed on until his dead. On the views of many Guineans, Sellu Dellen Diallo made a lot of economic and social transformations and he is still widely held as the best Prime Minister among the many that served the General Lansana Conteh combined Military and civil administrations.

Both Mr. Bio and Mr. Diallo are presently fighting hard to unseat their various governments through elections scheduled early and late next year respectively. Both governments are riddle with gigantic corruption especially with the funds provided by the International Community during the last dreadful Ebola scourge that ravaged the two countries and killed Thousands.
