It is further alleged that the accused person, Kelfala Mansaray stabbed the deceased with a kitchen knife on the left side of his chest at the above-mentioned address after a brief argument between him and the deceased Alhassan Mansaray.

After the alleged murder incident, the matter was reported to the police by Foday Mansaray who is another brother of the accused person. And a team of detective police personnel led by Sergeant Bellia G. J. including the Scene of Crime Officer (SOCO) visited the scene.

At the scene of crime, the police found the deceased Alhassan Mansaray lying dead in his veranda and they took photographs of his remains, before conveying the body to the Connaught Hospital Mortuary.

The matter was prosecuted by Police Sergeant Amiza John and Magistrate Santigie adjourned the matter to Friday 11th January this year.

In another development, one Abbass Kanu is currently detained at the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road by Santigie Bagurua presiding over the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1 for the offences of Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and Robbery with Aggravation, contrary to law.

The charge sheet stated that the accused person was armed with a knife at Skye Street in Freetown when he robbed Elizabeth Sesay of her mobile I-phone, valued at three million Leones.

The items stolen from the complainant also included one lady’s handbag valued at thirty thousand Leones, one Samsung mobile phone, valued at one million, five hundred thousand Leones – all to the total value of four million, eight hundred and eighty thousand Leones.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ibrahim Sheik Mansaray is prosecuting.
