They described the exercising process as a way appreciating and applauding Dr. Kaifala Marah, the current Governor of the Bank of Sierra Leone, for his relentless service to the nation, as well as the people of Kambia.

 Several groups across all works of life referred to Dr. Marah as the new hope for Sierra Leone. The groups were largely made up of young people, as they were calling on the nation as well as the All people’s Congress, APC, to endorse the candidacy of Dr. Kaifala Marah, as the party’s flagbearer for the forthcoming 2018 elections.

 Teacher and a politician that contested as independent candidate in the 2012 elections, Ishmail Madi Conteh described Dr. Marah as a brother and a spontaneous politician who had served this country and delivered lot of successes, check the records, they are there to be checked, I promise you they are all cleaned, Madi added.  

Musician who doubles as the Queen of the youth group Queens of Kaifala Marah submitted that Dr. Marah happened to be a responsible father who had served Sierra Leone in diverse ways. She further explained that Dr. Marah got a clean record in the country’s politics and as the current Sierra Leone Bank Governor; he had contributed immensely to stabilize the country’s economy, that the reason why I composed the a song for him as the man of the people, she asserted.   

Most of the youth groups could be seen as first time voters, when the country will be holding its Presidential and Parliamentary elections on 7th March 2018.

The dance and joyful parade took place in major streets in the town of Kambia. Inscriptions on the thousands of youths t-shirts include: Dr. Kaifala Marah is the new hope.
