We know the evil men and women behind this campaign of calumny, and in due time, we shall expose them for the whole country to see how callous, wicked and mischievous some politicians can be. Personally, I cannot fathom why some people find it very difficult to appreciate good people like Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally, who has done so much good things for various individuals and organizations in this country.

Perhaps they fear that the good man is a threat to their political ambitions and so they must do all in their power to neutralize him, but as they have woefully failed in this task now as in the past, so they shall in future attempts, because, even as they continue to spread out their lies and propaganda against the good man, so too Allah continues to bless the hands of Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally as he continues to succeed in whatever enterprise he engages in. Indeed, you can never succeed in putting a good man down because his good deeds will defend him and restore him.

It is very instructive to note that President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma couldn’t carry out any investigation against Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally because, after he had been influenced by some evil men and women in his Government and unwittingly taken their bait and sacked the innocent man, President Koroma soon realized that Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally had no case to answer. In other words, Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally had done nothing wrong to warrant an investigation and possible indictment against him. Again, a big fail and a big shame to his political adversaries who are still smarting from the many defeats that they have suffered from this good man.

I am reliably informed by well-placed State House Aides that President Koroma has regretted sacking Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally, who he has now realized, was one of his most energetic, loyal, patriotic, nationalistic, honest and sincere Ministers who has the people and the state of Sierra Leone at heart.

I am aware that the majority of Sierra Leoneans are very conversant with the good works that Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally has done and continues to do for the people of this country both in his public and private lives.

When he was Minister of State, Southern Province, he was able to rehabilitate and mobilize former Kamajor fighters who he transformed into civil development farmers as well as settle the rifts among them, address the deep seated grudges and dissatisfactions they have been carrying against the Government. He was also able to initiate a lot of development projects in the four districts in the Southern Region of Bo, Bonthe, Moyamba, and Punjehun. He became so popular and a father figure in the South that they nicknamed him, “Governor of the south.”

As Minister of Internal Affairs, he was able to engage with the misguided young men and women referred to as cliques who normally engaged in causing havoc on the streets of Freetown, who he transformed into good children, most of whom he sent back to school while he supported others to undertake skilled training activities.

He strengthened the Sierra Leone Police and upgraded their conditions of service, transformed the Sierra Leone Prisons into the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre, restructured and capacitated the Immigration Department as well as the National Registration Secretariat which are now performing better.

As Minister of Lands, Country Planning and the Environment he was able to initiate and develop a lands policy, which has now become a blueprint for the Ministry, established a land bank for future use by Government, regularize the ownership of many pieces of land all over the country, and raised a record four billion Leones (14,000,000,000.00) in revenue in three years, first of its kind by any Minister in that Ministry.

Presently he is the Proprietor and Chief Executive Officer of the Tee’s Shopping Centre, unarguably the largest shopping mall in Sierra Leone at 100 Wilkinson Road in Freetown where he employs close to one hundred of both men and women of different nationalities.

Hon. Alhaji Musa Tarawally is also supporting scholarships to scores of school going pupils, college and university students across the country, and assists a lot of community based organizations, religious and traditional bodies and sporting organizations in various parts of the country.

On the day that he was leaving for Mecca, he explained to me that he was going there to perform one of the five pillars of Islam, pray for himself, his family, relatives, friends and country.

Hate him or love him, Hon, alhaji Musa Tarawally is a very humble man who believes in the principle of live and let live, a God fearing Muslim, a kind hearted human being who insists that the less privileged in society must be supported to realise their potentials, a man of all tribes and all regions ad a man for all seasons.

Is that not why they call him Super?
