The   excellence   award   was   in   recognition   for   Milla   Group’s   demonstrated commitment   and   of   key   personalities,   distinguished   public   and   private   sector leaders, well-meaning organizations and industries that have raised the performance benchmarks of competence and dedication, setting new standards of excellence and innovation and unprecedented level of leadership both in the public and private sector.

The historic and auspicious award ceremony of ministers, heads of government agencies, parliamentarians, diplomats, institutions, outstanding Sierra Leoneans and foreign personalities for lifetime achievements and contributions within and beyond Sierra   Leone,   took   place   on   Friday   22   October   2016,   at   the   Bintumani   Hotel, Aberdeen in the far west end of Freetown.

Officials of the Sierra Leone Council of Chief Executives informed the gathering that Milla   Group   was   one   of   the  leaders   in   the   industries   that   had  complemented government’s efforts at reducing high level unemployment among the population, and at the same time contributed positively and immensely to the country’s socio- economic development policies and programs. 

They implored officials of Milla Group to continue to provide variety of quality products for public consumption, while assuring them of  Sierra Leone’s numerous, lucrative and investment friendly environment for trade and other businesses.

Receiving the award for and on behalf of management and staff of Milla Group, the General   Manager,   Rajesh   Hemnani   expressed   thanks   and   appreciation   to   the organizers of the award ceremony, and for also recognizing their commitment and dedication to Sierra Leone’s socio- economic development agenda.

Rajesh Hemnani told his audience that, Milla Group had operated in Sierra Leone for over decade with an exemplary track record, and for continuously importing variety of quality, adequate and high standard products in the country.

He noted that such an award, served as a  source of motivation to   industries, personalities, imminent  personalities,   business  institutions  including   responsible and development minded Sierra Leoneans in the public and private sectors towards complementing government’s efforts in addressing the country’s numerous socio- economic and political challenges.

Concluding, the General Manager of Milla Group assured participants at the award ceremony   including   the   media   that,   Milla   Group   would   continue   to   provide adequate and quality products for its customers and retailers, and also urged the general public to patronized with Milla Group for the overall development of mother Sierra Leone.

She told accused persons that, if they decide to give evidence on the witness box, having taken oath, the State prosecutor would cross-examine them on their various testimonies to the court.

Justice Miatta Samba then pushed the proceedings on the said matter to Wednesday 2 November 2016.
