Mohamed Dumbuya was campaigning against the company’s management on the grounds that they were taking undue advantage of the residents of Sahn Malen Chiefdom in the Pujehun District.

One thing led to another. During the protest staged by irate youths in Sahn Malen, police fired tear gas which incensed the protesters all the more and eventually the Police fired live bullets into the crowd resulting to the death of at least one young man with several others seriously injured.

However and unfortunately for Mohamed Dumbuya, he was sighted among the protesters carrying a placard venting his anger against the Sahn Malen administration even though he was reportedly a worker at the company.

Following the shooting and killing of one of the protesters, all hell broke loose and Mohamed Dumbuya was singled out by the protesters as being a sell-out because according to them they did not invite him to be part of them and further accused him of machinating the shooting and killing of one protester because according to them, Mohamed Dumbuya could not be on their side when he is an active member of Sahn Malen even if acting in a passive role.

At the same time, management of Sahn Malen refused to believe that Mohamed Dumbuya could work against their interest and so according to our information, they secretly arranged for him to be summarily executed. Literally caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, Mohamed Dumbuya became a wanted man as he was being sought for extrajudicial killing by the angry youths who lost their compatriot during the protest against the Sahn Malen Agriculture and Palm Oil Project and at the same time Mohamed Dumbuya was being hunted down by mercenaries paid by certain top managers at Sahn Malen Agricultural and Oil Palm Industry that felt betrayed by Mohamed Dumbuya and wanted him silenced forever.

According to family sources, Mohamed Dumbuya has been running and hiding from place to place after he was advised to stay out of sight until the tension cools down or at least the police (that are not of much help either because they too have a bone to pick with Mohamed) show interest in resolving the matter.

This press investigated the incident and discovered that indeed Mohamed Dumbuya could be in danger if he dare surface after taking with his family from Kenema his latest hideout.
