He confirmed that  tourism happen to be  the bedrock of development in most countries, that is why it should be well promoted and given the space to thrive, in that vein investors will surface in the country to invest and refurbish abandoned spots of tourist attraction.

Giving an overview of the Mahera Beach hotel and the operations of Sea Coach, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Olusegun Jaji said his company began operations in 2008. He further stated that the sea coach has been very effective in providing sea transportation for travelers, tourists and other people. He ascertained that the need for the refurbishment of the Mahera Beach Resort emanate from his desire to revamp the country’s tourism sector for an economic boom. Jaji maintained that the resort will create employment opportunity for many Sierra Leoneans, as it in line with the country’s local content policy.

Representatives of the Nigerian High commission and the Chiefdom Speaker of Mahera both congratulated the Management of Sea Coach for the laudable and timely initiative. The Nigerian high Commissioner representative pledged his country’s commitment to the development of Sierra Leone.  The Chiefdom speaker called on Sea coach to continue the goodwill in their community.

Mahera Beach Resort is situated at the bank of river Mahera river in the lungi community. The resort has about twelve (12) rooms, a volley ball court, restaurant, and paved compound among other facilities.
