According to Bakie Sesay she went to the village to attend a burial ceremony, when Yeabu’s mother brought her saying that she has eye problem.

“When I looked at the child, I noticed one of her eyes has come out. She participated in her school sports and took first and second positions,” she stated.

She went on to say during the sports meet, people were celebrating Yeabu over her victory and that the next day Yeabu woke up in the rare condition.

Bakie further stated that she has taken the child to Connaught hospital and also Sarolla Hospital where Doctors asked her to pay some money for test and operation.
