There are many Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora some of which are not in favorable conditions. One of such people is Isha Kargbo who claims she was abandoned by her husband in Nigeria together with five children.

As part of government’s effort to repatriate depressed citizens, the Sierra Leone’s Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Anna Betty Moussa has accompanied Isha Kargbo and children to Freetown.

Explaining her ordeals whiles in Nigeria, Isha said life has not been easy for her and the children after the husband left without any trace of him.

“I have been living in an unfinished building with my children. Whenever I call to tell my parents about my situation, they will tell me to be patient,” she said.

She thanked the Commission for their support in making sure she has returned to her country.

Deputy High Commissioner, Anna Betty Moussa said the Embassy is committed to protect its citizens in Nigeria adding that it is one of their responsibility to look after its citizens in Nigeria.

Isha is expecting to settle in her homeland and make life better for herself and the children.
