Records available to this medium indicated that  several stakeholders in Makeni city have associated and working in league with hardcore criminals, bent on wrecking havoc of residents and various business institutions.

Despite that fact that the personnel of the Sierra Leone Police Force are working assiduously to discourage such barbaric and immoral act in including the Sierra Leone judiciary in Makeni, some malcontent and ill motivated stakeholders continued to machinate plan intended to undermining the efforts of above mentioned state institutions.

For the past months there have been reports of frequent arm robbery incidents Makeni city and its immediate environs. Moreover, Private homes and businesses institutions have experienced frequent and monstrous attacks from hardcore criminals by carting away with huge million of leones including household properties. In May this year robbers and other hardcore criminals could be seen marauding the Makeni including surrounding towns and villages wrecking havoc, raping decent women with impunity.

However, personnel of the Sierra Leone Police Force deployed in the part of the country are going several constrains in terms of man power and the required logistics towards ensuring the safety of residents of Makeni and its environs.

From Makeni to Kahala in the north of Sierra Leone notorious arm robbers like ‘Tubob’ and crew are hired to rob and murder innocent Sierra Leoneans.

 Several other communities have equally suffered from the terror of many of these hardcore criminals and robbers including Fullah Town, Rogbaneh, Congo Town,  Talent Town to name but a few.

 The New London community in Makeni happened to be one of the vulnerable communities that had greately in the suffered in the hands of arm robbers.

In the light of the above , residents in that of the country are calling on the relevant sate authorities to provide the wherewithal for the security apparatus in Makeni , so as to ensure the safety and further creating a peaceful co-existence among residents of Makeni and its environs.
