According to court records the petitioner filed a case against President Julius Maada Bio, the Sierra Leone People’s Party and the National Electoral Commission, questioning the outcome of the results made public by the Commission in respect of the 2018 general elections.

Sylvia Olayinka Blyden who was absent in court when the matter was mentioned on Monday 16th July 2018, is now being represented by Barrister Ibrahim Sorie.

Her new legal representative informed the court that he is yet to put together the necessary documents to argue the petition case on behalf of his client.

The President Julius Maada Bio was represented by barrister George Banda-Thomas; the National Electoral Commission was represented by Lawyer Beryln Cummings, while the former flagbearer of the All People’s Congress Party of the 2018 presidential election, Dr. Samura Kamara was represented by Lawyer Lansana Dumbuya.

The Supreme Court of Sierra of Sierra Leone will sit on Dr. Samura Kamara’s and Sylvia Olayinka Blyden’s petition cases filed against President Julius Maada Bio, the Sierra Leone People’s Party and the National Electoral Commission (NEC) respectively tomorrow Wednesday 18th July 2018 for ruling.
