According to Holland-Cole, the tax will be five thousand Leones (Le5,000), stating further that even though they have the right to determine the price, they chosen the old price for everybody to be able to pay the tax and be part of the development whether rich or poor.

“We have enough books and personnel to sell to the people,” Holland-Cole said; adding that the communication unit of the district has been doing lots of advertisements about the importance of the tax.

Mr. Holland-Cole disclosed that, they have different places where they will impose the tax, noting that people should not come to the headquarters for their tax but rather should pay in their respective communities.

The Councilors according to Cole will not be selling the tax but will be providing oversight responsibilities to the revenue department of their wards and communities.

“After next week Friday we will be mounting a check point for people to pay compulsorily,” Holland-Cole said, adding that they do not want to force people to tax but would if they have to.
