The one day seminar will feature women from government ministries, International developmental organizations, NGO’s and Women’s Groups, to help educate and empower the next generation of female leaders in Sierra Leone.

Selected female leaders will Share their experiences with young women under the theme: “Better the Balance, Better the world: Championing Gender Equality at every opportunity and Inspiring young women to play an active role in leadership and decision making”

The overall objective is to support the International Women’s day by creating a platform to motivate and inspire young women to participate in Civic Leadership. Thus, promoting gender equality in Sierra Leone.

The event will target young women aged 15-25 and men will also be invited from government, universities and the private sector to be part of the conversation and also female leaders in government/politics and the private sector.

The program will be held on International Women’s Day, 8th March 2019 at the British Council Hall in Freetown. It will start at 9:00am and ends at 12:00pm
