It could be recalled that Alie Bangura challenged the validity of the election leading to the announcement of Chief Somano Kapen as Chairman and Leader of the SLPP.

Two years in court and the Supreme Court is expected to finally rule on the matter today.

It could be recalled that the SLPP could not even properly function as a result of a Supreme Court injunction slammed on the party.

The SLPP was banned from holding all lower level elections until the Alie Bangura matter is determined by the court.

The Supreme Court verdict has been described as the make or break for the opposition party that is already deeply challenged by internal party fightings.
