As a Lead trainer of the US States Department funded community Peacebuilding project titled: “Addressing Challenges in Communities through Nonviolence Engagement and Dialogue”, he said over hundred plus people have so far benefited from the trainings and it has the potential to reach over thousands of beneficiaries in different communities in Sierra Leone.

As a Non-Governmental Youth  organization that is working to capacitate, Empower & promote Young People in  building Peace in their communities, so far beneficiaries of the training comprised people from youth groups, community leaders, women’s groups, disable groups, victims of gender-based violence, security sector & political parties etc.  The trainings has so far been conducted in parts of the country in places like Kambia & Makeni in the Northern province, Kenema in the Eastern Province & Bo district in the Southern Province of Sierra Leone with more places to cover.

The essence of the training is to encourage young people to be peaceful and also engage in peace building as it is a great step towards enhancing a better nation.

Participants have also expressed their satisfaction and promise to continue engaging and make good use of the knowledge gained in their communities.  It is expected that a stronger network of young peace builders would be created across the country to address the various challenges that are happening in the communities.

Such trainings have been done successfully with the support of the United States Government Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund.

Topics discussed during the training were: Gender-based Violence, Drugs Abuse, Effective Communication & Self-esteem, Restorative Justice and an introduction to Security/Police & Youth Dialogue etc.
